The Centro Gutenberg Reproduction Unit is a fertility clinic in Spain and a pioneer in its sector. We have been working in the field of assisted reproduction since 1987, and in 1989 we achieved the first IVF birth in Malaga.

At URE Centro Gutenberg we are well aware of the needs our international patients have and we appreciate the effort involved in travelling from your home country to Spain to achieve your dream. That is why we have specialised staff who will be here to help you from the moment you contact our assisted reproduction centre in Malaga.

We will coordinate your travel so that you only have to come to Malaga once or twice, and we will be in direct contact with you via email, Skype and/or by phone.

Our international team is formed by professionals who are specialists in different areas of assisted reproduction, coordinated to efficiently assist you and provide excellent care.

Juan José Sánchez

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malaga and a Specialization in Gynaecology and Obstetrics from the University Hospital Carlos Haya of Malaga. Dr. Sánchez has formed part of URE Centro Gutenberg since 2002.

Carmen Godás López

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2018. She subsequently specialised in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital of Salamanca, completing comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological, obstetric and reproductive pathologies. .

Carolina Alonso

Degree in Biology from the University of Cordoba. She has formed part of URE’s embryology team since 2003. In 2011 she was awarded the Title of Junior Embryologist by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

Cristina Lirola Martínez

Graduated in Biology from the University of Granada in 2018, she specialised in human reproduction by completing master’s degrees in Human Fertility, Reproductive Medicine and Genetics, and Medical Genetics and Genomics. Since 2020, she has worked in hospitals and clinics in Madrid, Valencia and Alicante. In 2025, she joined the team of embryologists at URE Centro Gutenberg.

Marina Navas

University Diploma in Nursing from the University of Malaga. With vast international experience, she has formed part of Centro Gutenberg Reproduction Unit’s nursing team since 2016.

Francisco Martínez

University Diploma in Nursing from the University of Malaga. With vast international experience, having worked in London for 4 years. He has formed part of Centro Gutenberg Reproduction Unit’s nursing team since 2023. He speaks fluent English.

Guillermina Alonso

Diploma in Hotel Management and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Hospitality from Les Roches in Marbella. She completed her studies with an Executive Management Development Program at San Telmo International Institute.

Isabel Sánchez

Administrative Assistant and Patient Care Specialist with broad experience. She has worked in the Centro Gutenberg Reproduction Unit since 2008 and speaks fluent French and English.

Nuria Benítez

Patient Care Specialist, she takes care of foreign patients, accompanying them from the first contact with the clinic until the end of their fertility treatment, in a close and completely personalized way. She has worked in the Centro Gutenberg Reproduction Unit since 2022 and speaks fluent French and English.
