What is KIDScoreD5?
Artificial intelligence is a technology that mimics human intelligence to perform our tasks in order to improve itself. This has led to the creation of the KIDScoreD5 system, which automatically analyses and classifies embryos, increasing the likelihood of pregnancy.
With this technology, each embryo can be studied using complex algorithms, which in some cases would avoid having to manipulate it and extract cells. In addition, a high degree of accuracy is achieved in the selection of viable embryos for subsequent embryo transfer.
How does the KIDScoreD5 system work?
The KIDScoreD5 system automatically analyses embryos and classifies them from one to ten, based on their division rate, quality and morphology.
Automated embryo selection is more accurate than manual selection, so the probability of a successful pregnancy is directly related to the percentage score and, therefore, the patient has a higher chance of success.
Using the EmbryoScope, an incubator with time-lapse technology, an algorithm called KIDScoreD5 has been developed that allows for automatic selection and classification of embryos.
