How long had you been trying to get pregnant?

We had been trying to have a baby for seven years.

During that time, I went through fibroid surgery, made huge lifestyle changes, and made more sacrifices than I can even count.

When we turned to the public healthcare system, we were told that my Antimullerian hormone (AHM) was below 0.6 and that this meant we couldn’t access treatment.

That moment felt like everything stopped.

Why did you decide to come to URE Centro Gutenberg?

I already knew the clinic from the ovarian reserve campaigns they run.

So after everything we had been through, we decided to go.

And it was, without any doubt, the best decision of our lives.

What was your situation when you arrived?

Things weren’t ideal.

I was 38 years old, with low ovarian reserve and an endometrioma.

I knew the situation was complicated, but I still needed to try.

How was your first IVF cycle?

Honestly, better than I expected.

In the first egg retrieval, they got 6 eggs.

From those, we got 4 embryos, and 2 reached blastocyst stage.

After genetic testing, only one embryo was viable.

Just one.

What happened after the embryo transfer?

We transferred that embryo.

And it worked.

After everything we had been through… it finally worked.

How would you describe your experience?

What I value the most is how they treated us.

From the very beginning, I felt supported, understood, and guided through every step.

That makes a huge difference when you’re going through something like this.

What would you say to other women or couples going through the same?

I would say: don’t give up.

Even when everything seems against you, there might still be a chance.

Sometimes, one embryo is all it takes.
