Hi – I’m María, and my husband and I would like to say that we will be eternally grateful to the Centro Gutenberg Assisted Reproduction Unit and the entire medical team for all their help and care.
We heard about the clinic through friends of ours whose treatment here had been successful, so I was interested and started to look for information.
We had come from another clinic where we had lots of issues, and the truth is I was feeling really discouraged.
We didn’t have any fertility issues per se. The challenge, really, was our age: we were both 46 years old, so obviously conceiving naturally was not easy.
We called and made an appointment, and that’s when we met our guardian angel, Dr. Flores and the whole team; from the very first day we walked through the doors of URE Centro Gutenberg, all I can remember is seeing smiles and pleasant faces, and that was our reality; I know it seems easy for me to say this now that I’m a mom, but even if our treatment hadn’t been successful I would be saying the same thing.
At the first appointment, Dr. Flores explained everything to us in an easy-to-understand, straightforward manner. I can remember a long, relaxed consultation that didn’t feel rushed at all. And that’s when we decided to start again, this time with no pressure.
From the very start they made everything easy for us – finding us a gynecologist to perform the ultrasounds in Ceuta, the medication to prepare the endometrium, etc. …
We knew exactly what type of treatment we needed, so the only thing left was to carry it out. The doctor decided against medicating me and instead opted for an embryo transfer using my natural cycle. I had never done a treatment like that before, and the difference was incredible: no injections, no pills – I felt completely relaxed and worry‑free.
Everyone was relaxed and agreed with the treatment plan, and I think that was essential.
Our correspondence with the clinic was extremely smooth and we felt well cared for. Whenever we had questions or concerns they automatically transferred our call to the doctor, and for my peace of mind that was perfect.
To everyone hoping to become a mom or dad with the help of assisted reproduction treatment, I would encourage you to take the leap and do it. It will be a marathon, not a sprint, but with the medical team by your side it will all be easier.
I will remember the day of our embryo transfer for the rest of my life – for me it was the first chapter of our birth story when our Balti Jr. was created. It was a beautiful experience: they explained everything in detail to me, treated me in such a kind way by holding my hand, encouraging me – everything was great; and I always knew that ONLY SOMETHING WONDERFUL COULD COME OF THIS … and I was right.
